CALAR ALTO ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY
The Hispano-German astronomical observatory of Calar Alto is located at 2,168 meters high in the Los Filabres mountains,in the north of the province. This is a unique space for studying the stars and their behavior because it has three giant telescopes with apertures of 1.23, 2.2 and 3.5 meters.
